Summer Games
*Summer Games sessions are designed for younger age groups. For players born in 2015 or earlier, the Cap City Summer Elite League offers competitive games every Tuesday throughout the summer.
Summer Games sessions are designed for the 2016-2017 birth years to create an environment where players can compete, create, and learn through play—building hockey sense, confidence, and creativity in a fun, fast-paced setting.
Our curriculum focuses on:
- Playing — maximizing puck touches and learning through game-like situations
- Competing — building effort, engagement, and a love for the game
- Making decisions — reading situations and reacting with and without the puck
- Trying things — encouraging creativity, confidence, and learning without fear of mistakes
Play the game. Have fun. Get better.
This is not a traditional practice. It’s a game-based environment where players stay active, make decisions, and learn through constant play. Sessions are built around movement, competition, and creativity in small-area games.
Hockey is fun. That’s what Summer Games is all about.
